Kansas City portrait art that reflects your spirit
As we talk, ideas start flying. Locations, movement, moments. Sometimes that means laying on the pin end of a bowling alley. Sometimes it means raining candy, building superheroes, or burying you in dog toys.
Everything here has already been used
A bucket of golf balls
A bucket of range balls, and a portrait built inside it.
The whole crate of vinyl
A record shop floor, shot from straight above.
A trumpet, up close
The horn is in the portrait, not held beside it.
An electric guitar
Downtown, an amp, a painted wall, and no standing still.
Flour, bowl and whisk
A chef’s hat, a mixing bowl, and a studio full of flour.
A field of sunflowers
Golden hour, in a field of sunflowers taller than she is.
A football and green smoke
Picture day, lit like the tunnel walk.
One inflatable flamingo
Everybody in. Nobody dry.
More confetti than planned
The frame that happens after the frame you planned.
A cajon at sunset
A cajon, an open field, and a red light at sunset.

Build a session
This is the bit most people skip
Tracy plans the location, the styling and the light before anyone picks up a camera. Have a go at it yourself — then take what you built to her.
Nothing set yet. Start with where.

The consultation. Connect and plan.
It all begins with getting to know you. We start with a personal consultation so we can understand your style, your space, and what you want your portraits to feel like.
The session. Relax, we’ve got this.
Portrait sessions don’t have to feel stressful. With Gallery Portraiture, they’re relaxed, guided, and yes — fun.
The presentation. This is where it all comes together.
You’ll return for a private image reveal and design appointment where we walk through your portraits together. We’ll help you select your favourites and design finished artwork — wall pieces, albums, or collections — based on your space and vision.
The installation. From our hands to your walls.
Once your artwork is complete, it’s ready for pickup or professional delivery and installation. If we’re hanging your pieces, we ensure everything is placed perfectly so you can simply enjoy seeing your memories come to life in your home.
Investing in your unique story
A full session at Gallery Portraiture is a high-end, custom creative experience. Portraits are tailored to each client, with unique artwork designed to fit your home and lifestyle. We create art installations, not just photographs, and accept a limited number of sessions each year to ensure every client receives our full creative attention.
We offer flexible à la carte portrait pricing so you only purchase what you love. When families fall in love with their photographs, most choose to invest $1,500 and up in their custom portrait session and finished artwork. No packages, no pressure — just intentional, high-quality portraits designed for you.

What they said afterwards
The bit that keeps coming back
Tracy made every effort to make my son feel comfortable and proud of senior pictures that truly represented him and his interests. She was also fantastic in comforting an emotional mom who had waited way too long to force photos!
She spent time to understand what interested my daughter and then tailored her portrait sessions around those activities. She suggested interesting locations for photo shoots. She used her professional eye to really maximize my daughter’s wardrobe choices.
While the quality of the photography is always impeccable, Tracy goes beyond just the images. She invests an emotional element to the photography that comes out in the finished product.
It was an awesome experience that Brie, Dennis, and I will never forget. You truly captured all the emotions of our daughter! When I look at the book, I can remember every moment.
I felt like a million bucks.
I absolutely loved them, you made me feel good and happy and pretty lol.
